As CFO, you will lead the company’s financial strategy and operations to sustain growth and regulatory compliance. You will guide budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning while acting as a strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team. Your work will focus on profitability through cost analysis and process improvements within manufacturing. You will build and mentor a finance organization, ensure accurate GAAP reporting, and manage investor relations to support strategic initiatives. This role offers impact across finance, risk management, and corporate growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with company goals
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and capital planning
- Serve as strategic advisor to CEO and executive team
- Ensure timely, GAAP-compliant financial reporting and regulatory adherence
- Maintain internal controls and compliance systems
- Analyze manufacturing costs and drive profitability through process improvements
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while preserving product quality
- Assess and mitigate financial, operational, and market risks
- Oversee cash management, investments, and debt strategies for liquidity
- Manage banking relationships and investor communications
- Support capital raising, debt refinancing, and equity initiatives
- Represent the company in investor meetings as needed
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team (5+ direct reports)
- Promote accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Direct tax planning, compliance, and strategy to minimize liabilities
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting with 10+ in leadership
- Direct experience in manufacturing industry
- Successful track record managing financial operations in a growth-focused organization
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance practices
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial ERP systems
