In this role you will lead the finance function for a fast-growing modular housing company, shaping financial strategy across manufacturing, operations, and projects. You will partner with the CEO and COO to align budgets and growth plans with the company’s mission of affordable, scalable housing. You will drive FP&A, cash flow modeling, and capital strategy to support expansion and debt/equity financing. This position offers high impact on profitability, liquidity, and strategic investments as the company scales toward national growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute financial strategic plans for short-, medium-, and long-term growth
Lead FP&A, forecasting, and scenario planning to support scaling revenue from ~70MM to 150MM
Manage working capital, cash flow, and debt structures with strong internal controls
Partner with CEO on capital strategy and lead upcoming Series B expansion
Advise CEO/COO on profitability, financing options, and capital allocation
Oversee project-based revenue models for contracts exceeding 20MM, including architectural, general contracting, and modular manufacturing
Forecast profitability across multiple contracts and ensure flexible budgets
Negotiate vendor and lender agreements to optimize financial outcomes
Procurement and oversight of insurance (E&O, GL, Products, Auto, Workers Comp) and bonds
Lead budgeting across verticals; deliver reporting, variance analysis, and KPIs
Implement and manage NetSuite ERP and BI systems for integrated visibility
Lead M&A opportunities from evaluation to integration
Represent the company in external and industry-facing roles
Build and mentor a high-performing finance team and foster cross-functional collaboration

Key requirements

Proven CFO or senior finance executive in a vertically integrated, operationally complex company
Expertise in operational finance, cash flow management, and asset-based lending
Experience raising debt and equity at the operating company level
Ability to prepare companies for commercial debt financing
Strong budgeting, variance analysis, and KPI-driven reporting
Strategic thinker with hands-on execution in a high-growth environment
Strong leadership, communication, and ethical, mission-driven decision-making
