As CEO of Midas Europe, you lead a licensed DNB-registered payment institution and shape European regulatory governance, payment innovation, and cross-border growth. You report to the Board and oversee compliance, audits, and strategic execution within the fintech and digital entertainment space. You’ll drive revenue models, safeguard user funds, and expand gaming merchant onboarding across Europe. This role combines regulatory excellence with strategic leadership in a dynamic, cross-border environment.

Responsibilities

Licensed entity governance and statutory leadership aligned with DNB and EEA standards
Board liaison, regulators, and auditors for ongoing compliance and reporting
Oversee regulatory audits, license renewals, and supervisory interactions (PSD2)
Set and execute strategic direction supporting Tencent fintech and gaming monetization goals in Europe
Lead payment operations, treasury oversight, fund safeguarding, and AML/PSD2 controls
Own P&L and scalable financial management for regulated operations
Drive merchant growth and platform expansion with regulatory alignment
Manage partnerships with acquirers, PSPs, banks, and networks; negotiate and integrate with partners
Guide product innovation within regulatory constraints and monitor evolving compliance trends
Build and lead a compliance-aware, cross-functional team across operations, risk, compliance, finance, and commercial functions

Key requirements

Proven CEO/MD/board-level experience within a licensed payment institution or regulated financial entity in the Netherlands or EU
Expertise in PSD2, AML/CFT, and Dutch Central Bank supervision
Experience managing DNB-licensed entities with governance, audits, reporting, and supervisory interactions
Deep knowledge of payment ecosystems including acquiring, settlement, safeguarding, and cross-border flows
Strong background in digital payments, fintech, or gaming monetization, with international reach
Excellent stakeholder management with regulators, boards, and global leadership
Financial planning, capital management, and P&L ownership
Fluency in English; Mandarin and Dutch proficiency advantageous
Bachelor’s degree required; Master/MBA preferred
Based in the Netherlands with hybrid or on-site executive presence
