Senior Specialist / Project Manager

In this role you drive strategic sourcing and supplier performance to ensure a reliable supply chain for North American vehicle projects. You will shape category strategies, lead RFQ activities, and negotiate complex agreements with key suppliers. You collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Project teams to evaluate bids and optimize contract terms, while monitoring savings and risk. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional category strategies for Class A subsystems aligned with project requirements
  • Lead RFQ activities for assigned projects and negotiate/close complex electromechanical contracts
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Project teams to evaluate supplier bids
  • Formalize supplier selection with bid evaluations (commercial, legal, tech, warranty)
  • Review and revise contract terms (payment, warranty, liquidated damages, RAMS variation, escalation, claims)
  • Maintain contract data in Jaggaer/ETQ and track commercial terms in SAP
  • Identify supply chain risks related to capacity, finances, geopolitical factors, and material shortages
  • Manage relationships with strategic suppliers; conduct performance reviews and drive improvements
  • Initiate supplier claim processes for non-performance against contracts
  • Ensure procurement risk monitoring and control for local activities
  • Monitor and report budgeted vs. actual savings per category
