As Senior Category Manager, you will lead the Infrastructure Solutions category with a focus on whitespace product inventory and distribution agreements within IBX Operations. You will partner with Operations, Product, and Sales to shape a category strategy, secure cross-functional buy-in, and drive measurable cost savings. The role combines strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract leadership to enable superior customer deployments at scale. Your work supports global outcomes and cross-region initiatives in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Responsibilities
- Identify and deliver TCO improvements across the category, emphasizing cataloguing, inventory, and distribution agreements
- Drive cost reduction through process improvements and best practices across multiple products
- Act as SME for Whitespace categories; develop and implement sourcing strategies using spend analytics
- Lead negotiations for cataloguing, inventory, and distribution agreements
- Create and execute a comprehensive Category Plan; issue Category RFPs and coordinate communications
- Develop and manage Framework Contracts with Legal; oversee vendor onboarding and due diligence
- Manage supplier relationships, ranking, and risk assessment to optimize performance
- Collaborate with IT to integrate inventory and distribution systems (Coupa or similar procurement platforms)
- Conduct supplier risk assessments and implement mitigation aligned with ERM policy
- Track KPIs and provide monthly performance reports on awards, performance, cost savings, and cash release
Key requirements
- 5+ years in category management for global inventory and distribution agreements
- 5+ years designing/deploying whitespace solutions in data centers
- SME knowledge of Whitespace products (cabinets, connectivity, HAC/CAC, rPDU, etc.)
- Strong negotiation skills with proven cost-saving results
- Familiarity with Coupa or similar procurement systems
- Excellent analytical and communication abilities
- Previous management experience with direct reports
