In this role, you will drive Mexico-based carrier capacity development to enable scalable cross-border operations. You’ll build and manage a network of qualified carriers, align capacity with demand, and optimize execution through pricing, performance management, and market insights. You’ll act as a bridge between agents, operations, and carriers to ensure capacity, competitive pricing, and consistent service while expanding Landstar’s cross-border footprint. This position combines hands-on carrier development with strategic market intelligence to make a measurable impact.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a network of qualified Mexico-based carriers for scalable capacity across key lanes and gateways
Initial vetting of partner carriers to ensure CTPAT validation
Close capacity gaps based on agent demand, lane density, and customer needs through targeted development
Establish and manage rate structures and capacity commitments aligned to market conditions and profitability
Maintain visibility into carrier capabilities and constraints for capacity planning and deployment
Evaluate and onboard carriers in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
Monitor and manage carrier performance against service and rate expectations; drive corrective action
Collaborate with agents, operations, and facilities to align capacity with execution requirements including cross-border flows

Key requirements

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or capacity development
Bilingual in English and Spanish
