Experteer Overview
In this role you drive product strategy, in-store execution, and financial performance for the Teen retail business within the Pottery Barn Teen team. You will partner cross-functionally to deliver seasonal assortments that meet store goals and customer insights. You’ll analyze sales trends, coordinate with Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, Stores, and Visual Merchandising, and lead cross-functional communication. This is a hands-on, collaborative opportunity to shape teen retail assortments and promotional strategies while working onsite in San Francisco.

Responsibilities
- Pull weekly business reporting and sales performance analytics and share insights with partners
- Attend weekly Retail Meetings and communicate shifts, action items, and follow-ups
- Collaborate with Allocation and Distribution on allocations and attend weekly meetings
- Develop seasonal hindsight analyses and retail strategies to drive growth
- Plan and assort seasonal collections for Teen Retail Stores and Pottery Barn Kids locations
- Select and manage seasonal floor models; maintain seasonal merchandise lists
- Partner with leadership on seasonal targets and assist with forecasting and rollups
- Manage SKU lifecycle: request 921 copy SKUs, hand off to Inventory for PO placement, execute re-ticketing and mark-ups, and maintain SKU data
- Prepare seasonal kickoff decks, lead training calls, and visit stores for feedback
- Partner with Visual Merchandising to map layouts, support pre-season setup, and coordinate sample lists
- Coordinate sample shipping and tracking, request signage, and review visual books
- Maintain and update retail reports, create STD reports, and pull store-specific reports for fiscal analysis
- Request inventory transfers from DTC to support store inventory
Key requirements
- 5-7+ years of retail buying or merchandising experience
- Strong analytical and Excel/reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
- Passion for teen retail, trends, and customer insights
- Onsite in San Francisco office Monday–Thursday
