In this role you drive revenue growth for Barings’ UK Institutional segment, leveraging cross-functional support to raise awareness of investment capabilities. You will be the senior contact for clients and consultants, shaping business development across the UK/EMEA market and aligning Barings’ capabilities with investor needs. You collaborate with internal teams to articulate value, manage the sales cycle, and elevate Barings’ profile in the market. This position offers the chance to influence strategy and expand key client relationships in a pressurized, professional environment.

Responsibilities

Support revenue generation and lead new initiatives leveraging Barings’ capabilities
Articulate Barings’ profile and vision to drive new business and align with investor trends
Communicate operational capabilities to clients, partners, and stakeholders
Foster professionalism and uphold Barings’ culture within teams
Identify conflicts and mentor staff to reinforce a collaborative environment
Communicate clearly across peers and direct reports, guiding long-term objectives
Maintain and update knowledge of technical, regulatory, and personal development aspects

Key requirements

3–10 years’ experience in UK Institutional business development
Strong understanding of the UK Institutional market
Proven sales experience with ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
Knowledge of insurance/Defined Contribution markets is beneficial
Working knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory provisions
