In this role you shape Rabobank’s poly-cloud architecture to support the bank’s digital transformation. You work with an engineering business architecture team to translate strategy into secure, scalable cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. You will lead architectural initiatives, align with governance and compliance, and drive DevOps maturity. This position offers cross-team impact, innovation, and a strong link to Rabobank’s cloud-first agenda.

Compensation / Benefits

Gross monthly salary (scale 11)
Thirteenth month salary

EUR 1,400 development budget per year
Hybrid working arrangements (home/office)

Responsibilities

Architectural leadership for multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) aligned to enterprise standards and strategy
Co-lead the Cloud Services sub-area with Area Lead and Tech Lead; guide Solution Architects and squads
Foster open culture, continuous improvement, and DevOps maturity across the cloud domain
Engage with security, on-prem, networking, services, and applications to align architecture with organizational needs
Communicate architectural vision and roadmap to stakeholders and leadership
Stay ahead on cloud trends, promote automation, GitOps, and self-service capabilities

Key requirements

Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
≥10 years of work experience, including ≥4 years in (business/enterprise) architecture
Strong understanding of AWS and Azure; knowledge of Google Cloud advantageous
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; fluent in English, Dutch preferred
Strong leadership with ability to influence stakeholders; capable conceptual thinker
Experience with cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks
Proven collaboration and stakeholder management across cross-functional teams
