In this role you will design and operate high-throughput, low-latency backend services for a privacy-focused product line used by enterprise customers. You will own multitenant distributed systems, ensuring reliability, security, and clear SLOs, while collaborating with mobile and frontend teams to define robust API boundaries. You will build durable data and caching layers and lead core enterprise capabilities like SSO and SCIM provisioning. This position offers a chance to shape greenfield architecture and harden systems with a strong emphasis on security and compliance.

Responsibilities

Design, build and scale high-performance backend services
Own largescale multitenant distributed systems with reliability targets
Collaborate with mobile and frontend teams on API/SDK boundaries
Build durable data and caching layers using PostgreSQL, Redis, and NATS or similar
Lead core enterprise capabilities including SSO, SCIM provisioning, and secure data import/export flows
Partner with security and infrastructure teams to harden production systems against threats

Key requirements

3+ years in building and operating high-throughput distributed backend systems
Strong systems engineering background with end-to-end ownership
Proficiency in Rust, Go, or C/C++ (systems language)
Experience taking systems from concept to production in fast-paced environments
Deep focus on reliability, observability, and performance
