Experteer Overview
In this role you will own pricing for Travel Insurance and Warranty & Lenders Services, two complex, multi-line specialty products. You will work with underwriters to craft unique deals, present actuarial reviews to leadership, and develop pricing tools to monitor profitability. You’ll collaborate with business units to drive growth and profitability, while improving pricing approaches and regulatory filings. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with underwriters to create individualized pricing deals
- Present actuarial reviews of large pricing deals to business unit leaders
- Handle specialized contract and data quirks, including unusual earnings patterns and coverages
- Partner with business units to support profitability and growth goals
- Build and maintain pricing and book-monitoring tools
- Develop new actuarial analyses to improve pricing parameters and segmentation
- Create rate filings and coordinate with filings unit for regulatory approval
- Monitor and report key metrics and profitability studies
Key requirements
- P&C actuarial qualifications: FCAS or ACAS preferred; 7+ years (considering strong 4+ years)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Solid business acumen and industry knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentations and marketing
- Professionalism and ability to contribute to a positive team culture
