As an Automotive Systems Engineer, you contribute to EE architecture development and integration for vehicle programs. You’ll work within a cross-functional team to translate concepts into market-ready electrical/electronic solutions, upholding safety and quality standards. The role spans concept through validation and customer collaboration, offering exposure to diverse projects in a dynamic automotive environment. This is an opportunity to influence vehicle systems and collaborate with suppliers and validation teams in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain component specifications and requirements for EE systems
Contribute to function and technical safety concepts, including FMEA and issue resolution
Collaborate with validation, homologation, and customer teams to meet validation and vehicle integration requirements
Work with suppliers and external stakeholders to ensure project quality, timing, and budget targets
Manage project documentation, reports, and stakeholder presentations
Participate in EE architecture development from concept to market introduction
Support design approvals and revisions with customers and internal resources
Travel as needed to support project activities

Key requirements

University, HBO Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or related field
Proven experience in electrics/electronics engineering projects in automotive environments (OEM or Tier1)
Knowledge of automotive product development processes and vehicle architectures/bus (CAN, LIN, FlexRay)
Basics of functional safety (ISO 26262)
Ability to manage multiple demands in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Good communication in Dutch and/or English (German a plus)
Ability to work independently and in a team; multidiscipline, multi-project experience
Willingness to travel
