Responsibilities

Lead and manage complex litigation matters in state and federal courts
Draft, argue, and respond to motions, including dispositive motions
Develop cases for trial, including evidence gathering, witness interviews, and deposition management
Manage discovery, including electronic discovery and case development
Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with partners and clients
Collaborate with public entity clients and advise on risk, strategy, and procedural matters

Key requirements

J.D. from an accredited law school
Active California State Bar membership
7+ years of litigation experience
Proven excellence in law and motion practice in state and federal courts
Experience managing cases through trial with evidence development and depositions
Superior research, writing, analytical, and creative thinking skills
Strong academic credentials and professional work ethic
Experience representing public entities or handling land use matters preferred
Ability to collaborate across teams and offices
