As part of a Southeastern law firm’s Eminent Domain & Condemnation Practice, you handle litigation, zoning, and condemnation matters across a range of real estate assets. Base salary starting at $200,000 (associates)

Responsibilities

Participate in litigation, hearings, discovery, and depositions related to eminent domain and zoning issues
Handle a high volume of matters with effective organization and prioritization
Collaborate with senior attorneys on sophisticated real estate transactions and condemnation matters
Contribute to case strategy and synthesis of complex legal research
Support clients including developers, investors, lenders, landlords, and tenants across multiple jurisdictions

Key requirements

JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record
Active Bar Admission in practicing state in good standing
At least two years of experience in commercial real estate related litigation, with some experience in eminent domain, condemnation, and zoning
Direct experience in eminent domain/condemnation, property rights, land use, zoning/entitlements, real estate development, commercial real estate transactions (excluding residential closings), or real estate litigation
Proficiency in hearings, discovery, and depositions
Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to multitask and manage complex legal research
