As part of a Southeastern law firm’s Eminent Domain & Condemnation Practice, you handle litigation, zoning, and condemnation matters across a range of real estate assets. Responsibilities
- Participate in litigation, hearings, discovery, and depositions related to eminent domain and zoning issues
- Handle a high volume of matters with effective organization and prioritization
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on sophisticated real estate transactions and condemnation matters
- Contribute to case strategy and synthesis of complex legal research
- Support clients including developers, investors, lenders, landlords, and tenants across multiple jurisdictions
Key requirements
- JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in practicing state in good standing
- At least two years of experience in commercial real estate related litigation, with some experience in eminent domain, condemnation, and zoning
- Direct experience in eminent domain/condemnation, property rights, land use, zoning/entitlements, real estate development, commercial real estate transactions (excluding residential closings), or real estate litigation
- Proficiency in hearings, discovery, and depositions
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to multitask and manage complex legal research
