As Associate Director in TRC's Transaction Advisory Services, you will lead and grow complex EHS/ESG due diligence for private equity and corporate clients, guiding multi-site engagements and coordinating cross-functional teams. You will help clients manage transaction risks, identify value creation opportunities, and deliver concise due diligence outputs in fast-paced deals. This role combines business development with technical leadership to expand TRC's TAS footprint. You will work across the US and UK/EU offices, shaping diligence strategy in a high-growth practice.

Responsibilities

Sell/doer role: bring in new clients and projects with a focus on transactional and post-acquisition engagements
Manage complex due diligence projects involving multi-site portfolios and cross-disciplinary teams
Oversee due diligence assessments aligned with ASTM Phase I and other global protocols
Assist clients in managing transaction risks and identifying value creation opportunities
Prepare concise TAS due diligence reports, liability estimates, and related deliverables
Collaborate with TRC personnel across offices and practices in the US and UK/EU

Key requirements

15–20 years of transactional experience leading and managing EHS/ESG due diligence for multinational clients
Experience managing and executing transactions for Private Equity and corporate clients
Strong ESG due diligence experience is a plus
Knowledge of TRC's key client sectors (Industrials, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Petro-Chemical, Power Generation) is a plus
Excellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and people skills
Ability to work 24/7 and deliver on tight timelines
Fundamental knowledge of transactional due diligence, site investigation concepts, and remediation liability estimation
Self-motivated and results-oriented with a positive attitude
