In this role you drive the research administration lifecycle for Harvard Chan, partnering with faculty and leaders to secure and manage sponsored funds. You act as a signatory and oversee awards, negotiations, and compliance across multiple departments. You translate complex regulations into workable processes and collaborate with central offices to resolve issues. This role offers high-impact work at a world-renowned public health institution.

Responsibilities
- Sign as a sponsor on all sponsored research documents
- Review awards for alignment with proposals and Harvard policies
- Provide end-to-end support for award management activities (prior approvals, renegotiations)
- Negotiate terms across DUAs, amendments, and other agreements
- Support proposal development and submission as needed
- Coordinate with PIs, sponsors, OVPR, OGC, RMAS, IRB to resolve issues
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and compliance across the university
Key requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience
- Advanced knowledge of sponsored research regulations
- Experience negotiating diverse agreement types (federal contracts, international awards, industry agreements)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Diplomacy and collaboration across multiple offices and teams
- Familiarity with research compliance issues and key federal regulations
