As Associate Corporate Counsel, you will support regulatory compliance, marketing and advertising, and commercial transactions within our Legal Team. You will help navigate federal and state alcohol regulations, review promotional materials, and draft agreements for sponsorships and campaigns. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to manage risk and enable business growth in a fast-paced, hybrid Boston-based setting. This role offers an opportunity to shape compliance programs and support strategic initiatives in a renowned craft beverage company. Responsibilities
- Product Development & Production Compliance: advise on laws governing alcoholic beverage development and production; liaise with government officials; monitor regulatory changes
- Trade Practice Compliance: oversee marketing materials, promotions, sweepstakes, coupons, and press releases for compliance
- Commercial & Marketing Support: draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to marketing, sponsorships, and promotions
- Additional Legal Support: provide training, perform legal research, and assist with special projects and litigation as needed
Key requirements
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school; excellent academic record
- Active state bar admission in good standing
- 3–6 years of legal experience, preferably with a law firm supporting CPG clients in product liability, commercial, marketing, and advertising matters
- Exposure to regulatory compliance matters preferred
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
- Creative problem-solving, attention to detail, and sound judgment
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong client service skills and business acumen
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
