In this role you will manage municipal high yield allocations across strategies, optimize leverage usage, and support bespoke deal structuring. You blend macro views with bottom-up credits to position portfolios to outperform. You work closely with research and trading to identify trends, assess credits, and find relative value across securities. You communicate positioning and risk factors to stakeholders and help advance portfolio and risk tools. This role supports client-focused, proactive investing within GFICC.

Responsibilities

Source, evaluate, negotiate and execute bespoke deals
Manage utilization of municipal leverage across strategies
Blend internal macro views with bottom-up credit recommendations to position portfolios to outperform
Collaborate with research and trading to identify market trends and assess relative value across securities
Communicate positioning, performance drivers and risk management to stakeholders
Contribute to development of portfolio and risk management tools

Key requirements

7+ years of portfolio management, municipal credit or investment banking experience
Fluent in credit analysis, documentation, and deal diligence
Strong decision-making and risk management capabilities
Solid understanding of market technicals, relative value frameworks, and muni regulatory/tax landscape
Excellent written and oral communication
Independent thinker, collaborative teammate
Bias for action, accountability, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
Analytical, commercially minded, and detail-oriented
