In this VP-levelQuant Research role, you will shape and drive the research agenda for the U.S. Disciplined Core Equity group and independently manage innovative projects that influence the investment process. You will deepen quantitative modeling expertise and advance systematic investment strategies in a large U.S. equity franchise. Colleagues include portfolio managers and tech teams, with production integration as a key outcome. The role offers the chance to lead impactful research at scale and stay at the forefront of quantitative finance and alternative data.

Responsibilities
- Develop novel alpha signals from traditional and alternative data and enhance return forecasting models for equity markets
- Apply advanced statistical, econometric, and machine learning techniques to large datasets
- Drive research and innovation in portfolio construction and risk management
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and stakeholders to translate research into actionable strategies
- Oversee integration of research models into production systems with technology teams
- Stay informed on academic and industry developments in quantitative finance, ML, and alternative data
Key requirements
- 5+ years of experience in quantitative equity research or related field with proven independent research and leadership
- Master’s or PhD in a quantitative/technical discipline
- Deep expertise in quantitative modeling, portfolio construction, and equity markets
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Proficiency in Machine Learning, NLP, and analyzing alternative/unstructured data
- Excellent verbal and written communication for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative experience across teams and with senior stakeholders
