In this Architectural Specifications Writer role, you support architecture teams by developing project specifications and advising on technical details through design and construction. You’ll work on large, complex Life Sciences projects, detailing interiors and exteriors and coordinating with manufacturers and product reps. You’ll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across geographies to ensure constructability and compliance. This is a remote/hybrid opportunity with meaningful impact on pharmaceutical manufacturing environments and mission-critical outcomes.

Responsibilities

Develop project specifications and provide technical guidance to architecture teams throughout design and construction
Specify interiors and exteriors on large-scale, multi-phase projects
Maintain relationships with product representatives and connect teams with manufacturers
Assist teams with product and system research and documentation
Support construction administration activities, including RFIs and submittal reviews
Coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams, including remote collaboration

Key requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
Minimum 10 years of professional experience with at least 5 years in specifications development
Experience in Life Sciences/pharma manufacturing projects from design through construction
Strong knowledge of construction detailing and constructability
Command of building codes and regulatory requirements
Experience with construction administration (RFIs, submittals)
Ability to coordinate in multi-disciplinary teams across locations
Proficiency with MS Teams, MS Office (OneNote, Word, Excel), and Bluebeam Revu
United States Citizenship
