In this role you lead and further develop a team of ADTS engineers focused on masterbatches, strengthening customer partnerships and driving technical solutions. You align customer needs with manufacturing specs and collaborate across Sales, Quality, and Marketing to optimize products and processes. You’ll manage projects and risk through the Stage Gate process, while promoting innovation and training within the team. The position blends technical mastery with strategic leadership in a global context, with travel across the EU.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the ADTS team, including coaching, feedback, and performance reviews
Hire new team members and support their development
Conduct regular customer visits to understand needs and identify opportunities for APS solutions
Provide high-quality technical support to customers, directly or via the team
Ensure customer requirements are reflected in manufacturing specifications and support portfolio/supply chain optimization
Identify future product and application technology needs and translate into measurable specs for APS
Take responsibility for customer-specific projects (Stage Gate)
Organize and lead the Product Risk Management Plan (PRMP)
Collaborate with Sales, NBD, PAD, Quality, and Marketing
Represent the company at conferences, meetings, and trade fairs

Key requirements

Degree in a scientific or technical field (preferably Chemical Engineering)
Several years of experience in sales, technical support, or product development for masterbatches (+10 years)
Leadership experience (+3 years), including managing remote teams
Knowledge of plastics markets, applications, and processing technologies
Expertise in masterbatches, color pigments, additives, and fillers
Experience in project management and cross-functional teamwork
Strong communication, presentation, and reporting skills
High customer orientation and team spirit
Willingness to travel within the EU (~40%)
Fluency in English; additional European languages advantageous
Valid driver’s license
Basic IT skills
