In this IT-focused role within a clinical environment, you will analyze data and requirements to shape technical solutions for healthcare workflows. You will gather needs, conduct fit-gap analyses, and design functional updates for supported applications. You’ll manage small to medium projects, troubleshoot complex system integrations, and maintain documentation and testing artifacts. You will also provide 24/7 on-call support and liaise with clinicians, IT staff, and vendors to ensure timely, reliable implementations.

Responsibilities

Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of data and requirements for application initiatives
Gather requirements, run fit-gap analyses, and propose effective technical solutions
Design, validate and confirm new or changed functionality to meet specifications
Lead small to medium projects and track progress to meet deadlines
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across integrated systems
Support project implementation through administrative, technical, and customer-facing tasks
Maintain up-to-date documentation for all processes and configurations
Collaborate with business users and IT teams to design, test, and validate integration and user acceptance test plans
Serve as SME for assigned projects and act as liaison between end users, SMEs, and technical support
Provide 24/7 on-call support and monitor system interfaces and logs
Create ad hoc reports per user specifications

Key requirements

6-10 years of experience in a related IT/healthcare role
Experience with FDB or Medispan
Experience with Omnicell or Pyxis
Pharmacy or clinical background
Familiarity with med load and Willow inpatient charging, including updates for HCPCS, medication costs and regulatory modifiers
Decision Support experience a plus
Strong technical and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Epic Willow Certification preferred
Application-specific certification/proficiency within 90 days of hire if applicable
Healthcare experience in hospital, medical practice, or health system preferred
