Responsibilities

Lead and manage programs and initiatives to improve effectiveness and efficiency
Develop and implement short- and long-range strategies, policies, and priorities
Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local, and industry regulations
Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and ensuring operations stay within budget
Develop, revise, and implement SOPs, policies, and procedures
Represent the department to boards, city departments, and external entities
Coordinate activities with other city departments, agencies, and service providers
Respond to inquiries and resolve issues from internal and external sources
Define goals, resource needs, and monitor industry trends to adopt best practices
Assume Airport Chief Officer duties in their absence

Key requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Aviation Management, Accounting/Finance, Engineering, or related field; plus six years of related experience, including two in supervisory/managerial capacity
Master's degree may substitute for up to two years of required experience
Known knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ordinances affecting the airport
