As EMC Lead Engineer, you drive EMI, HIRF, LIRF, Lightning and Electrostatics work across aircraft systems to support EMC certification and ongoing production. You define scope, plan activities and manage technical risk, guiding the EMC effort from concept through certification. You review test procedures and reports, ensuring regulatory compliance while mentoring junior engineers. You collaborate with R&D partners and suppliers to solve electromagnetics challenges and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead complex EMC assignments and drive resolution of EMI/HIRF/LIRF and lightning issues
Define scope, plan milestones, and manage technical risks for EMC activities
Analyze system designs for EMC impact and propose compliance approaches
Review and approve test procedures, reports, and analyses; verify regulatory compliance
Mentor and supervise junior team members and interns as EMC lead on projects
Develop and update technical requirements for EMI, HIRF, LIRF, Lightning, Electrostatics
Provide EMC guidance to collaborative R&D teams and engage with internal/external stakeholders
Witness and support EMC tests in multiple regions; prepare and review test procedures and Certification Design Compliance Reports

Key requirements

Expert knowledge of EMI, HIRF, LIRF, Lightning and Electrostatics in aerospace systems
Experience leading EMC projects and supervising junior staff
Ability to review engineering documentation and certify compliance with regulations
Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience with test procedures and test reports in EMC certifications
