You will design, build, and deploy end-to-end AI/ML solutions focused on defense and national security missions. In this role you work hands-on to deliver production pipelines that directly support mission-critical systems and analysts. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to operationalize models and ensure alignment with customer needs. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models and data pipelines to meet mission objectives
Build, train, and fine-tune models using PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face, and LangChain
Develop and operationalize MLOps pipelines (MLflow, Kubeflow, DVC, or custom orchestration)
Implement and optimize vector databases (Milvus, Pinecone, Chroma, FAISS) and retrieval architectures (RAG, graph, hybrid)
Write clean Python for data ingestion, feature engineering, embeddings, and inference services
Experiment with fine-tuning and optimization of LLMs and task-specific models (LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT)
Contribute to agent-based applications using LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or DSPy
Integrate AI services into production systems via APIs, event-driven workflows, or UI copilots
Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and mission analysts to ensure production-readiness
Participate in peer reviews and document models/experiments for reproducibility

Key requirements

U.S. citizen willing to obtain/maintain security clearance
6-10+ years of professional AI/ML production experience
Minimum 3 years in DoD/DoW AI assurance, security, deployment environments
Strong Python development skills
Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face, LangChain)
Proven ability to build/deploy MLOps pipelines (MLflow, Kubeflow, DVC)
Experience with vector databases (Milvus, Pinecone, Chroma, FAISS) and retrieval architectures (RAG, hybrid, graph)
Experience fine-tuning/evaluating LLMs or task-specific models (LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT)
Experience integrating AI capabilities into production systems or mission applications
