In this role you will shape pricing and analysis for Elective Voluntary Benefits (EVB) products, collaborating with senior actuaries, underwriting, sales, and finance. You will lead large-case pricing initiatives and drive projects to improve pricing accuracy, competitiveness, and efficiency. You’ll support product development and voluntary benefit strategies while promoting continuous process improvement. This position offers cross-functional impact and the chance to influence pricing strategies at The Standard.

Responsibilities
- Lead large-case custom pricing strategy and review quoting performance metrics
- Provide thought leadership and drive projects to improve pricing, underwriting accuracy, competitiveness, and efficiency
- Support product development and pricing needs for EVB lines
- Help develop approaches to handle voluntary benefit strategies
- Collaborate with sales, underwriting, compliance, and finance to ensure pricing strategy success
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement in pricing processes
Key requirements
- ASA required
- Minimum 3 years hands-on actuarial experience
- Pricing strategy experience for large product lines in Supplemental Health, Disability, or Life products (highly preferred)
- Advanced Excel & VBA skills
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, and GGY Axis is a plus
- Prior experience with underwriting and sales teams preferred
