In this role you will lead the transformation of the AP function through Medius-driven automation and AI, partnering with IT and Finance to optimize processes. You will manage the AP team, own the Medius platform, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, automated environment. You’ll redesign workflows, ensure compliance, and provide real-time AP insights to support cash flow. This is a hands-on leadership role at a company focused on efficient, compliant supplier payments and automation scale.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the AP team in a highly automated setting
Drive transition from manual to automated AP processes leveraging Medius
Own configuration, updates, and troubleshooting of the Medius platform
Coordinate with IT and Finance for JDE ERP integration
Monitor KPIs (invoice cycle time, cost per invoice, exception rates) and implement improvements
Ensure SOX compliance and internal controls, with accurate process documentation
Manage vendor issues and maintain stakeholder communication
Provide real-time AP insights and reporting to support cash flow and working capital
Coordinate vendor payments and reconcile AP sub-ledger with general ledger
Drive process improvements and change management across the function

Key requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of AP experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
Hands-on experience with AP automation tools (Medius strongly preferred)
Strong ERP knowledge (JDE, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to lead change in a fast-paced environment
Experience in mid-to-large organizations and driving process improvements
