In this role you contribute to the Accounting and Finance Consulting practice by delivering technical accounting advice and financial guidance to clients. You work closely with engagement teams to understand client businesses, drive performance, and ensure high-quality deliverables. You will support capital markets and public company reporting needs, leveraging RSM resources to grow our advisory impact. Responsibilities

Participate in multiple engagements delivering technical accounting guidance to clients
Maintain and develop current technical accounting capabilities using firm resources
Provide timely, high-quality client service and manage work plans and deliverables
Collaborate with engagement manager, partner, and client
Understand client’s business and industry to identify key drivers and trends
Lead field work as an in-charge, monitoring productivity and adherence to schedules
Assist in preparing technical memos and client deliverables
Identify opportunities for performance improvement and expanded services
Work as part of an integrated service delivery team within RSM
Recognize and communicate opportunities to broaden services to clients
Willingness to travel up to 25%
Understand and apply RSM’s service lines in client engagements

Key requirements

BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
2+ years of experience in public accounting, technical accounting, or financial reporting
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Strong technical knowledge in US GAAP and Regulation S-X
