In this role you will develop and execute a sales strategy within a defined market to drive order growth, revenue, profitability, and market share for ABB’s products, systems, and services. You will lead and coach the Sales organization to meet ambitious targets as part of a high-performance team. The position involves engaging with EPC/Cap-Ex project environments and negotiating key contracts, while ensuring customer satisfaction and cross-functional collaboration. Based in Houston, you will influence growth initiatives within ABB’s AUEN USA Division.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an effective sales strategy for the market scope
  • Define, plan, lead, and execute sales plans to achieve qualitative and quantitative targets
  • Lead, develop, and coach the Sales organization to achieve targets
  • Anticipate performance shortfalls and take remedial actions
  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities with existing and potential customers
  • Plan and execute customer surveys and act on results to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Participate in negotiation of key contracts
  • Contribute to a high-performing, large project pursuit team

Key requirements

  • Experience with EPC and Cap-Ex project environments
  • 10+ years in Industrial Automation major greenfield sales pursuits
  • Experience in executive and senior management discussions around automation projects
  • Experience creating unique value propositions and understanding strategic selling principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid USA work authorization
