As an Account Executive for the DACH market, you will drive growth for Preply Business in mid-market and enterprise segments. You’ll own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to close, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape tailored language-learning solutions. You’ll work in a hybrid setup in Barcelona, applying a consultative, data-driven approach to uncover client needs and demonstrate value. This role offers a chance to scale a B2B business in a dynamic EdTech startup and help global teams communicate more effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle and close deals to drive revenue
  • Generate 50% of pipeline through outbound activities
  • Handle both inbound and outbound (SDR) leads
  • Develop territory closing strategies
  • Leverage sales methodologies to uncover customer needs and pain points
  • Articulate Preply’s value proposition using qualification standards
  • Own sales activity and monthly revenue forecasting in Salesforce
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to incorporate customer feedback

Key requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of quota-carrying, direct tech sales experience in a full-cycle closing role
  • Experience closing upwards of 15 deals per quarter with average ACV ~30K
  • Ability to discuss value proposition with C-level executives, HR, and decision makers
  • Experience with outbound prospecting and product demonstrations
  • Consultative sales approach with strong analytical/quantitative skills
  • Consistent track record of meeting/exceeding targets in a fast-paced environment
  • High adaptability to startup evolution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High proficiency in German and English
