The Technology Regulatory Relations team serves as the primary point of contact for all domestic and international regulatory engagements that involve the Wells Fargo Technology group. The team ensures an organized and cohesive approach to interacting with regulators ensuring transparency and consistency of communications, providing oversight and guidance on the quality of regulatory responses, and ensuring adherence to enterprise-wide requirements.

The Operational Risk Consultant roles will be broadly responsible for supporting Technology senior leader regulatory engagements and ongoing supervision meetings/requests to include (but not limited to):

• Coordinating ongoing supervision meetings and ad hoc meeting/written requests
• Preparing/coordinating meeting material, capturing meeting notes and action items. Ensuring action items have ownership and are delivered in a timely manner
• Delivering incident notifications, subsequent root cause analyses and managing response development to any regulator questions
• Delivering recurring reports to regulators and managing response development to any regulator questions
• Producing internal status reports, executive level reporting and internal presentations
• Compiling and providing historical engagement information as needed
• Supporting other projects or initiatives as needed
• Maintaining effective working relationships with internal stakeholders

Job Expectations:
• Expected to work in approved Wells Fargo office and maintain attendance standards for space allocation
• Travel is not anticipated but may be approximately 10 days per year

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 10+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

  • Experience writing and editing internal communications and training-related materials in a corporate environment or financial institution
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
Other Desired Qualifications

• Regulatory Relations experience
• Demonstrated negotiation skills, especially with difficult topics when partnering with senior management. This includes the willingness and ability to question decisions, understand direction and escalate issues, where necessary.
• Able to recognize opportunities for improvement in the business and raise opportunities to management
• Ability to address difficult issues, anticipate emerging issues, and take action to facilitate a resolution
• Professional certifications such as CSCP, CRCM, CGEIT, CRISC, CITP, CISA, CISSP, CIA a plus
