Position:     Mine Planning Manager
Location:     New Iberia, LA
Compensation: $100,000 - $145,000 + Excellent Benefits + Paid Relocation

Job Description:

You will oversee the development of mine planning & strategies by designing and planning cases that optimize product quality, value and risk, mine fleet requirements, and estimates for capital and operating costs suitable for inclusion into mining studies and life of mine plans.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or other relevant discipline.

7-10 years of relevant experience with an emphasis on underground mine planning, design and scheduling.
Exposure to continuous improvement methods (Lean/Six Sigma).
Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders.
Sound understanding of financial costing and budgetary controls.
Good level of communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
Project management and Capital program implementation skills.
Broad knowledge of underground mine safety standards.
Excellent safety record.
Ability to demonstrate safety leadership required.
